چکیده

The purpose of the paper is to investigate flocking behavior discrete-time Cucker-Smale(C-S) model under general interaction network topologies with agents having their free-will accelerations. We prove theoretically that if accelerations are summable, then, for any given initial conditions, solution achieves a finite moving speed by suitably choosing time step as well communication rate system or strength between agents. In particular, \begin{document}$ \beta $\end{document} subcritical, i.e., less than critical value \beta_c , then holds conditions regardless While, ( = ) supercritical > ), can only be achieved making large enough. also present some numerical simulations support our obtained theoretical results.

Cucker-Smale flocking with alternating leaders

We study the emergent flocking behavior in a group of Cucker-Smale flocking agents under rooted leadership with alternating leaders. It is well known that the network topology regulates the emergent behaviors of flocks. All existing results on the Cucker-Smale model with leader-follower topologies assume a fixed leader during temporal evolution process. The rooted leadership is the most general...

Cucker--Smale Flocking under Hierarchical Leadership

A mathematical theory on flocking serves the foundation for several ubiquitous multi-agent phenomena in biology, ecology, sensor networks, economy, as well as social behavior like language emergence and evolution. Directly inspired by the recent fundamental works of Cucker and Smale on the construction and analysis of a generic flocking model, we study the emergent behavior of Cucker-Smale floc...

Cucker-Smale Flocking Under Hierarchical Leadership and Random Interactions

Consider a flock of birds that fly interacting between them. The interactions are modelled through a hierarchical system in which each bird, at each time step, adjusts its own velocity according to his past velocity and a weighted mean of the relative velocities of its superiors in the hierarchy. We consider the additional fact, that each of the birds can fail to see any of its superiors with c...

Asymptotic Flocking Dynamics for the Kinetic Cucker-Smale Model

In this paper, we analyse the asymptotic behavior of solutions of the continuous kinetic version of flocking by Cucker and Smale [16], which describes the collective behavior of an ensemble of organisms, animals or devices. This kinetic version introduced in [24] is here obtained starting from a Boltzmann-type equation. The large-time behavior of the distribution in phase space is subsequently ...

Hydrodynamic Limit of the Kinetic Cucker-smale Flocking Model

The hydrodynamic limit of a kinetic Cucker-Smale flocking model is investigated. The starting point is the model considered in [17], which in addition to free-transport of individuals and a standard Cucker-Smale alignment operator, includes Brownian noise and strong local alignment. The latter was derived in [18] as the singular limit of an alignment operator first introduced by Motsch and Tadm...
